The 9^th annual Global Fest in the Barrens returns to Glasgow-Barren County on Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. To 8:00 P.M. held at the Glasgow Public Square in Glasgow, Kentucky.  A Celebration of World Cultures and American Unity for a day of fun filled entertainment, education, understanding, and promoting diversity.

Music will fill the air from performances featuring Battle of the Bands, Gospel Music by God’s Child and Witness.  The Omega Force Strength Team is the World’s strongest team with the world’s greatest message. Street performers will dance in the street to the sound of a varity of music. 

Cruise in to the Charles Mansfield Cruise In at Global Fest and join the exhibition of vehicles.

Teens do you think you can sing? The Teen Idol Contest prize for the winner is $400.00 and second prize $100.00 come to the festival and exhibit your singing talent.   

Children will gather in the Children’s area with Inflatable, Rock Wall, Carnival Games and story time for children.

Food vendors will provide tasty Cuisines from different Cultures and American favorites.

Added attractions this year will include a Family Train Ride and a Corn hole Tournament.

Global Fest is a Free Community Festival that provides Family Fun and Education.
