"Global Fest is...Cultural education thru multiple different Cultures. Promoting & encouraging interaction among diverse individuals, sharing and enjoying the diversity of our community. Discovering our similarities and differences." WHAT: Global Fest celebrates many different cultures including: India, Native American Indians, Mixed Cultures, Japan, African American, West African, Hispanic, Anglo-Saxon, Philippines, Italy, Germany, France, Puerto Rican, Hawaiian, Columbian, Thailand, China, Mexico, Vietnamese Celtic and Middle East. The annual event stimulates cultural enlightenment while entertaining all ages with music, dance, foods and games. WHO: Global Fest is an annual event in its seventh year. Global fest is a day of reaching out to one another, discovering the similarities and differences among people in our community. It is a day of promoting and encouraging interaction among diverse individuals. Global fest is an educational and awareness celebration of people with diverse backgrounds. WHEN: Saturday, September 6th 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. WHERE: Downtown Public Square - Glasgow, Kentucky. WHY: Global Fest strives to educate all people about the different cultures around them and encourages interaction among diverse individuals.
