Philosophy of Education

We, the faculty, believe in taking the child where he is educationally, and instructing him in such a way so that he will develop to the best of his ability: socially, mentally, and physically.

We believe that self image affects learning, and will strive to develop a good self image and sense of responsibility in each child. This will help him to be a well-adjusted individual who can live a fulfilling life and find his place in society.

We believe in directing the child to specialized help when we recognize that his needs are beyond our capabilities in the regular classroom.

We believe in the democratic way of living, and as such, should be lived in the classroom and in all activities in school. We also believe that education should help one learn how to live successfully with other people by developing tolerance and freedom from prejudice.

We believe that we should be loyal, courteous, just and professional in all relationships with administrators, co-workers, parents and pupils regardless of race, creed, or social position.
